PhD Program
To participate in the PhD program at Georgia Tech-Lorraine, all applicants must apply directly to the Georgia Institute of Technology. This must be done online using the Graduate Admissions website and completed by March 1st for the Fall semester and by September 1st for the Spring semester. Upon your admission, you will do your research with a Georgia Tech faculty attached to the Unité Mixte Internationale, UMI 2958.
Apply to the PhD program:
- Computer Science, Apply to CS
- Electrical and Computer Engineering, Apply to ECE
- Mechanical Engineering, Apply to ME
Conditions of Admission:
- 3.5 Grade Point Average on a scale of 4.0 for your Master of Science degree
- Three letters of recommendation from engineering faculty
- High scores on two US graduate school admission tests:
- TOEIC > 750 or the TOEFL, the required scores are specified on the above program options
- GRE with the following required scores required: Verbal > 400/800, Quantitative >750/800, Analytical Writing > 3.5/6.0
