Double Degree Program

The Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia Tech-Lorraine signed cooperative agreements with renowned Engineering Schools and Universities in France and Europe to develop innovative academic collaborations and allow students to graduate with a double Master degree. Within the framework of these agreements, students may take courses offered by these partner institutions in their local language. Upon successful completion of these highly innovative and integrated programs, students are awarded a Master's degree from Georgia Tech and a Graduate Diploma from a partner institution.

This bi-continental program is an opportunity to launch students’ international career, by preparing them for the challenges of the global technology development. The international graduate students who take part in the double degree program, acquire an rich perspective on engineering entrepreneurship, multi-cultural and multinational exposure, and an immersive English-speaking education. The core of this program is based on the close relationship between education, research and industry, resulting in an internationally recognized double degree.

The program curriculum extends over three academic semesters and a one semester internship as described below:

    Non U.S. Students 

  • DiplĂ´me d'Ingenieur - Master of Science: the student enters the MS program as you enter the last year of his/her engineering program and graduate with the Master of Science on the Atlanta campus

  • U.S. Students 


  • Master of Science - Master degree: the student enters the MS program for two semesters at the Lorraine campus and then joins the partner school campus.
