  • "Walibi amusement park" (wednesday Apr 20, 2005)
In spite of the rain, a few fun-addicts went to this amusement park which is located only 15 minutes from GTL (closer than Amneville) for an afternoon of sensationnal rides, all paid by the BdE! They only had to pay for the aspirin afterwards, since thay came back with a cold ;). You can check out the pictures here.
  • Gastronomy dinner (tuesday Apr 5, 2005)
A great dinner at ALOES where everyone was invited to cook something from his country/region. Among other delicious dishes, we had the chance to taste peanut butter and ananas pasta salad, "salade de gésiers", "quenelles", "flammenkuche", "filet mignon sauce roquefort", and many pies or cakes for dessert. And of course, there was more wine than we could drink ;). Check out the pictures!
  • Trip to Champagne and Verdun (saturday Apr 2, 2005)
This was an amazing day across the Champagne region. We traveled by bus, leaving GTL at 7:30am. We first visited Verdun, "La tranchée des baillonnettes" and the "Ossuaire", with a spectacular view on the former battle fields, and the military cimeteries. Then we went to Reims where we spent some time to visit the Cathedral and have lunch. After that we reached Eperney, the city of Champagne, where we visited the Leclerc Briand winery (Champagne maker) and tasted some of their bottles. Finally, we came back to GTL around 8:30pm and had a great diner at ALOES with food "all you can eat" and - more important - CHAMPAGNE "ALL YOU CAN DRINK"!!! ;) Great day!
Check out the photos of the trip. You can also download the information about the Champagne maker Leclerc Briand that we visited, an information paper about Verdun and one about Reims Cathedral Notre Dame Saint Jacques.

Everyone is be expected to bring some food to share with others, but the BdE takes care of the big items like the turkey.

  • LaserGame (friday Nov 19, 2004)
This awesome event gathered 20 people for a full night of 7 Laser Games, around 10 to 15 minutes each. It took place near Le Cube on the "ZAC d'Augny". The whole LaserGame was booked for the whole night. For 18 euros, you could play and eat and drink as much as you could from 8 pm to 1 am. This was fun and we hope this will be organized again!
  • "GTL in club": Night at "Le Cube" (thursday Nov 18, 2004)
Co-organized with ENSAM, AEMI and BTS, the nightclub was packed! Le Cube is a new club located on the "ZAC d'Augny" in the south of Metz, just next to L'Etoile, another well known club.

It lasted about 2 hours and cost 7.25 euros per person.
Other sessions are going to be organized soon. Check your GT e-mail account regularly!
  • Bar Night at the Vivians Pub Fairy (wednesday Oct 6, 2004)
Traditionnal first event of the semester, the bar night allows every GTL student and teacher to meet in a very unformal way, in front of a beer or more...
The BdE offered the first beer to everyone and we had the chance to see and talk to Dr Boussert and Dr Malassenet at this party.
