Hello guys and gals

On behalf of all the BDE members who shall be leaving GTL, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who made this semester a kick-ass fun semester (as had been promised by the BDE in the beginning!). We hope you enjoyed all the events organized by the BDE, amongst other activities that the BDE has been involved in.

Hope you have plenty of fond memories to take back to your home. We know we have many !:)

The laser tag event at Kinepolis was a grand success! Hours of fragging, hours of FUBAR for some (!), and hours of frikkin fun… More photos soon on the BDE website

The BDE has booked the GO KARTING place on Wednesday, October 7th at 20h00 (8:00 pm). The registration fees are *10 Euros* per person. We have put up the signup sheet on the BDE board. Please enroll your names as soon as you can because due to lack of availability of time only the first 32 registrations will be taken for the event.

The BdE has organized a GAME AND PARTY NIGHT on Tuesday, 15th of September at the STUDENT LOUNGE in GTL. Everyone is invited.

Come get your game on!
We will have a several board games including Settlers of Catan, Agricola, Risk, Axis and Allies, and more! We also will have card games and texas holdem! The Wii will be set up and there is always ping-pong and pool.

Crepes will be served!
There will also be music and dancing.

Come join us this Thursday for the biggest Poisson/GTL party of the year!

The GTL BdE is organizing another fun event meant to bring together students, faculty and staff around a cup of tea.

Join us in the on the 2nd floor, Wednesday, March 4th between 10:30 and 12:30. You can just grab a cup of tea and a piece of cake on your way in or out, or you can stay a while and share a nice moment.

Anyone is more than welcome to bring a cake!

The Georgia Tech BDE will be meeting with the mayor of Metz in order to gather input on life at the Technopole.  In order to make your voice be heard, the BDE is doing a survey to collect student opinions, comments, issues, etc.  Follow the link below to fill out the survey and help improve the Technopole!

A ping pong tournament will soon take place at GTL, and all of the students and staff are of course invited to participate! It will be a lot of fun and will permit you to meet many people you don’t know yet.

The tournament will last a couple of weeks. You will have one week to play each of your matches, so don’t worry, it won’t take much of your time.

Please fill in the spreadsheet so that we can add you to the players list, it also will be useful in order to contact your opponent to settle a date to play.

As most of you know, the local Metz news station was at GTL to cover our viewing of the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama.  The news reporter conducted a short interview with GTL undergraduate student Eric Stribling.  We have posted the interview on the BDE web site in Windows Media format for your viewing!
